Itinerary

Day 1Departure from Athens

The magic city of Athens is the capital of Greece and the largest city in the country. The city, which was the cradle of Ancient Hellenic and Greek Culture, containing magnificent artifacts worshiped by ancient Greek gods and people, was the economic, political, social life and philosophy center of the period. Taking its name from Athena, one of the most important goddesses of mythology, Athens is known as the city where democracy was first established. The most important prehistoric civilizations flourished in Athens and have produced the most successful architectural masterpieces of human history that have survived to this day.

Day 2Arrival and Departure to Mykonos

This cute little island is the most famous of all the islands for its beaches, active nightlife and shining sun. It was built with narrow streets resembling a labyrinth to protect from pirate raids and wind. A dazzling mess – narrow streets pass between cube-shaped whitewashed houses in the area up to the old town of Kastro. The public museum, which forms part of the Venetian fortress wall, is in the city of Kastro. The lower corner of the sea is called “Little Venice”. (known as Alefkandra) The balconies of the houses protrude above the sea. You can watch the panoramic view of Little Venice from the windmills and you can also see the Pelican Petros, the mascot of the island for 50 years.

Day 3Santorini and Rhodes

SANTORINI, the southernmost island of the Cyclades island group in the south of the Aegean Sea, is approximately 46km2. In 1500 BC, the island and its surrounding small islands were formed by a large volcanic eruption. Located on a cliff on a hill 300 m above sea level, Thira (Fira) is the capital of the island. The city was completely destroyed as a result of a great earthquake in 1956 and most of it has been rebuilt until today. The most characteristic work of the city is its blue-domed churches. Wine, fruit, olive oil and tobacco are the main agricultural products grown in the Cyclades island group. Very high quality wines are produced from grapes grown on volcanic soil. Thira is located on the cliffs with perhaps the most beautifully decorated bars, restaurants, accommodation areas and unbelievably romantic sea views in the world. The volcanic beaches stretching along the north-south strip make the island even more attractive.

The city of Rhodes is considered a 2400-year-old settlement. The city was first founded in 408 BC. Then St. The Knights of John came to the city in 1309 and founded the new city of Rhodes on these ruins. The towers of the Grand Masters Palace dominated the medieval Crusades castle and formed the center of the old city. The new city, on the other hand, extends beyond the original walls. There are 11 gates on the walls. On the paving stones of the Knights Street, inns from various countries dating from the Crusades are lined up. The hospital of the Gothic knights has been turned into an archaeological museum. Suleymaniye Mosque was built in 1531. In front of the Harbor Gate is Hippocrates Square, with a medieval historical fountain in its centre. Also Marine Gate and St. There are two twin towers called Catherine’s Gate. Rhodes Castle and its ancient city are one of the best preserved medieval cities in the world.
